Yes, mindfulness is a state of being in the present and not judging things - it can be hard for some to accomplish. I've had clients and readers in the past who scoff at this term, so I wanted to acknowledge that - it is still the gold standard in learning to sit with uncomfortable thoughts. Mindfulness eventually counteracts the intensity of intrusive thoughts. Some people have to do an exercise until it become an intuitive part of daily living.
